Program Intro
Providing a well-rounded and multi-disciplinary foundation, the online BA in Liberal Studies competitively positions students to transition into careers as multi-subject elementary school educators or in social services or human services.
Students who have earned the liberal studies degree and are interested in obtaining a California multiple subject and/or special education teaching credential(s) would be exempt from taking the California Subject Examination for Teachers (CSET). Additionally, students could meet the credential's basic skills requirements through coursework and would be exempt from taking the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST).
